When drying seeds, plants, or other agricultural products, a stable climate is essential to maintain product quality. With conditioned drying cells and cooling-dehumidification units, air is actively cooled, dehumidified, and heated to the optimal temperature. This creates a controlled drying environment in which moisture is efficiently removed from the product.
Products are often stored and dried in stacked boxes or crates. Depending on the product type and required capacity, these boxes can be arranged in multiple rows and stacked 3 to 6 levels high. This configuration allows a large drying volume to be achieved within a compact drying cell.
The incoming air is conditioned by a cooling-drying unit to reach the desired humidity level in the cell. The air is then heated, which lowers the relative humidity and enables the air to absorb moisture from the product. With a well-designed airflow and distribution system, uniform drying is achieved throughout all boxes.
Our ABC software automatically controls the airflow and continuously selects the most efficient combination of indoor and outdoor air. This ensures maximum drying performance with minimal energy consumption. Each installation is tailored to the product, capacity, and available space, creating a reliable and efficient drying solution.
