Conditioned Individual Box Dryer
Precise drying conditions per box
With the conditioned box drying installation, seeds in individual boxes can be dried to the desired moisture content. This applies to both freshly harvested seeds and seeds that require further drying before shipment. With this conditioned drying installation, a select number of boxes can be dried individually. It can be custom-built to meet your specific requirements and preferences.
The conditioned box dryer is a closed system in which seeds are dried to the desired moisture content using air of a controlled condition. This air is supplied by a central air dryer. The boxes are positioned separately within an air distribution system, though a stacked configuration is also possible.
The air distribution system is enclosed, allowing the seeds to be dried independently of outside conditions. Dried air is blown into each section from the top and is circulated internally. Due to overpressure, part of the humid air released from the seeds is returned to the central air dryer for reconditioning.
Tailored to your seeds
At the top, the air is brought to the desired moisture content and temperature. This ensures that the seed is always dried at the desired air conditions.
The design of the air treatment installation depends on the required air circulation, the amount of moisture that must be removed and the temperature at which the drying needs to take place.
The image above illustrates an option to exhaust humid air to the outside and to draw in drier outside air. For moist seeds, this significantly reduces the drying time. Once the air from the seeds becomes drier than the outside air, the valve closes and the (drier) air will automatically be recirculated and used in the drying process.

The ABC touchscreen provides a clear overview of the installation and the drying sections. Each section shows an overview of various measured values and status of the components.

- Set the desired air temperature and target air humidity level for the drying
process per section. - Control each individual box by switching the fan on or off and setting the required air volume (ventilation capacity).

The dryer automatically supplies dry air to the sections where it is needed or prioritized.
The top row displays the status of the inlet valves, while the bottom row shows the return valves that direct moist air back to the air dryer.
If the air returning from a section is more humid than the outside air, it is vented outside. Dryer air is then sucked in by the air dryer. If the returning air is drier than the outside air, it is recirculated through the system.

Bij grotere hoeveelheden zaden wordt principe van drogen met gestapelde kisten toegepast. Bijvoorbeeld na een nat behandeling van de zaden of bijvoorbeeld na het dorsen. Ook planten worden dikwijls in kisten gedroogd.
Het zijn vaak houten kisten waarbij de bodem van gaas is uitgevoerd. Kisten voor een droogsysteem zijn naast hout ook leverbaar in staal of RVS. Om zaadvermenging te voorkomen is de binnenzijde van elke kist afgewerkt. In deze kisten kunnen de zaden ook worden bewaard.
Geconditioneerd drogen geschiedt met gedroogde lucht. Daarom worden de kisten in een geïsoleerde ruimte geplaatst.
Bij drogen in een hal wordt (opgewarmde) lucht uit de omgeving van onderaf door het product in de kist geventileerd.
Optimale beluchting zorgt voor een gelijkmatige droging. Daarom wordt altijd gebruik gemaakt van een luchtverdeelsysteem.
